For some it's Star Wars confabs; for others, Star Trek conferences. For the happy throng that gathered late last month at the New Yorker hotel, the "Official Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys Convention" stirred the passions. Besides offering music-video salutes to Callisto, Ares, Gabrielle, and sundry other personalities with funny names, there was a collectibles auction, a trivia contest, autograph opportunities, and the chance to dress up as your favorite character and stoop to conquer at the costume competition.
