High Line Section 2 to Open Next Week
Because summer is meant for doing things like aimlessly strolling throughout the city, it's apt that the second part of the much beloved High Line will open next week. Starting June 8, the former train tracks turned public park will end at West 30th Street as opposed to West 20th. Section 1 begins at Gansevoort Street. At the end of the new stretch of High Line, the park is opening The Lot at 30th Street for the summer, which will feature food trucks, a bar, and, wait for it, an "urban playground" with "a collection of colorful, inflatable sculptures" that look like this. That and a bar? Count us in. [Gothamist]
