Hillary Confirmed; Geithner, Holder Hanging In
Despite a last-minute holding maneuver by Senator John Coryn of Texas, Hillary Clinton has been confirmed as Secretary of State in the Senate by roll-call vote, 94-2. The only nay votes came from South Carolina's Jim DeMint and Louisiana's David Vitter. Senate Republicans still have tax-evading Treasury nominee David Geithner and AG nominee and Marc-Rich-pardon-enabler (and -- even worse -- possible Bush-torture-prosecution-enabler) Eric Holder to play with before their expected confirmations.
