How to Lend a Helping Hand During Post-Sandy Recovery [Updated]
Help is urgently needed in Staten Island, and the ferry and train are now running.
Here are some ways to help with Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts:
FURTHER UPDATES: New Amsterdam Market is spearheading a clean-up of the Front Street area, badly hit by Sandy, including the market offices and surrounding businesses beginning at noon on Sunday. Gloves, food, and water will be provided to volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities and supplies needed at Occupy Sandy
Sandy Pet Drive at 32 Avenue A (between 2nd and 3rd streets) starting at noon and running till 3pm.
Via Gothamist: Staten Island needs your help today (Sunday). Staten Island Ferry is now up and running, and there's limited train service from the ferry terminal, allowing you to reach the areas of greatest storm impact.
