Hudson's Sign Painted Over, Geezers Mourn

The old Hudson's sign, which was painted onto the corner of the building on the southeast corner of 13th Street and Third Avenue sometime in the very early 20th Century, and whose weathered presence was a landmark for generations of East Villagers, has been covered with a nice fresh coat of grey paint, reports EV Grieve. We feel even worse about this than we did when they closed that place we no longer remember the name of, where Whatshername and we used to have such good times back before you punks ruined everything.
