James Walton, 37, Sought in Poorly Executed Bank Robbery Attempt
Cops have put a name to the suspect in a futile attempted bank robbery late last month of a Chase branch on the Upper West Side.
They're hunting for James Walton, 37. He was last seen dressed like a million other guys: black hoodie, blue jeans, and sneakers.
Shortly after 5 p.m. on December 28, cops say, Walton went to a teller window in the Chase branch at 260 Columbus Avenue and demanded money. He said he was armed but never showed a weapon. He then ran before he could get any cash, cops say, and no one was hurt.
Tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text info to 274637 (CRIMES), entering TIP577.
