Lady Gaga Banned From New York Yankees Clubhouse, Can't Touch A-Rod's Bat (UPDATED)
The pun beginning the New York Post article describing Lady Gaga's ban from the Yankee Stadium clubhouse is something, even by Post standards. "She's persona non Gaga," it begins, describing Gaga and friends' uninvited trip into the Yankees' backstage area, where the pop star took to "swigging whiskey and repeatedly fondling her boobs." Isn't that standard clubhouse behavior? And where does Alex Rodriguez place Lady Gaga on the "sort of like Madonna" scale?
Gaga, drinking Jameson Irish Whiskey, was wearing a Yankees jersey half-unbuttoned, exposing her black bra, fishnet stockings and a bikini bottom.
But apparently she didn't think that was enough to catch the players' eyes, so she kept groping her chest over her jersey.
According to the report, she met six players, " including Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano," obviously, but not with a blessing from general manager Brian Cashman. When informed by a reporter, "Cashman said, 'What? I didn't know that,' and stormed off."
Apparently, even defending champions are not welcome to groupie love, blonde or not.
UPDATE: The Daily News calls bullshit on their rivals at the Post.
And despite a report the Yankees had banned Lady Gaga from their clubhouse in the wake of her post-game visit Friday night, GM Brian Cashman told the News Sunday "she's not banned." The team said the Yankees take no issue with anything she did after the Mets beat them 4-0 on Friday night when she was in the corridor outside the home clubhouse and in the traveling secretary's office.
In the wake of her one-finger salute to fans and team officials at Citi Field during a June 10 doubleheader, the Mets will mock Gaga at a home-field promotion scheduled for Wednesday, when they launch "Go Gaga for Wright," a campaign to help third baseman David Wright get elected to the All-Star Game with a promotion called "Go Gaga for Wright."
The first 20,000 fans to attend will be given a blue over-sized foam finger emblazoned with 'Make Wright #1.' The index finger is the one extended on the giveaway
This "publicity" thing, she has it down.
