Local Craftspeople Make Art About Books for NY Public Library
The New York Public Library is collaborating with design*sponge to get five local artists to "come to the library" and "become inspired by its collections." In this introductory video installment of "Design By the Book" we meet the artists: creators of artsy glasswares and dishes in Williamsburg, an invitation printer with artistic ambitions in DUMBO, a typographer/illustrator who works in a "great old warehouse," and a Park Slope industrial designer. They are excited and "super inspired" to work with the library. Wow, you're still reading? You must be more bored than we are.
