Love Saves The Day Frontwoman Looking for Work
Following up on the planned removal of vintage store Love Saves the Day from Second Avenue, Jeremiah's Vanishing New York interviews Karen, the woman who has run (at the request of the now-deceased owner) the sidewalk sale table in front of the store. Karen predictably bemoans the closing -- "This is one of the last places that has the old flair of the East Village that's gone" -- and reveals she'd like to keep her sidewalk stand going when LSD shuts. Jeremiah says anyone who has a place for Karen's "old-school flea marketeer" skills can leave proposals at his place.
