Manhattan's Dapper Serial Groper Busted; Alleged Perv Karl Vanderwoude Works For Private Equity Firm
New York City's most dapper alleged serial groper was arrested yesterday at his apartment in Park Slope after authorities determined that he's responsible for the gropings of several women in Manhattan over the last several months.
The kicker: the alleged groper, 26-year-old Karl Vanderwoude, apparently is a staffer at an international private equity firm.
Vanderwoude is allegedly one of several serial gropers operating in New York City right now. More on that here.
Vanderwoude's first alleged groping happened on February 26, when police say he grabbed the crotch of a 31-year-old woman near Varick and King streets.

His next alleged attack happened the next day when police say he grabbed the butt of a 19-year-old woman walking on 2nd Avenue near East 67th Street.
It's also alleged that on March 30, Vanderwoude put his hand between the legs of a 22-year-old woman as she was walking to a subway near Chambers Street.
Initially, police suspected the same groper was responsible for another groping on February 25. However, he hasn't been charged in that groping yet.
A rep at the firm declined comment about the alleged groper in the company's midst and referred us to a corporate spokesperson who is yet to return our call.
Vanderwoude faces multiple counts of forcible touching and one count of unlawful surveillance.
