Mark Green's 2006 Vow: I'm Done
Here's Mark Green offering a proud last hurrah on the night of September 15, 2006 when he lost his bid to be state attorney general: "I will not seek office again. I want to make my contribution as an advocate, as a writer, as a lawyer, and as a teacher. But I will not seek elective office again."
He sounded pretty certain at the time. But that was then.
Here's Mark Green today with the launch of his new web site announcing his candidacy for public advocate -- again: "This year I'll be seeking to be your Public Advocate again. . .because I'm devoted to public service..."
The real shame of it is that he has to give up his seat on NY1's Wise Guys show with Ed Koch and Al D'Amato. (photo Gary Conover.)
