Mayor Celebrates Hanukkah With Giant Floral Menorah
The holidays just aren't complete without a giant floral menorah. Mayor Bloomberg had his Annual Hanukkah party at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park last night, to which florist Monica Hirsch donated this 6-foot-tall flower-candle thing. "This menorah is so unique and beautiful," the Mayor allegedly told her, "it is my pleasure to take a photo with you next to it." (Doesn't he look slightly frightened of it, though?) The first candle is lit on December 12; we suggest a windscreen and a fire extinguisher nearby. Now, back to the War on Christmas! Photo via Monica Hirsch Floral Design.
