Michael Bautista, Charged with Assaulting Girlfriend and Cop, Escapes Custody
Michael Bautista, charged with beating up his girlfriend and assaulting a police officer, is on the loose. Yesterday morning he managed to convince court officials at East 161st Street that he was a different detainee, one held on a lesser charge, and they let him go.
If the charges are true, there is cause for concern: Bautista allegedly broke down his girlfriend's door, punched her, and destroyed her stuff. He came back to menace her a few times before she called the cops, and Bautista is said to have fought with them when they arrived.
He's 22, about six feet tall, 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and tattoos of a red scorpion holding a heart with letters on the left side of his neck, and a star on the right side.
