MTA Bus Drivers Create Their Own Sexy Calendar
The FDNY has long done it, so why not the MTA? A group of rather fit, if we do say so, MTA bus drivers from the Jackie Gleason Bus Depot in Brooklyn have formed a group called Men Taking Action/United Transit Employees. And now they are putting together their own calendar. Michelle, or "Mush" Irons, a 17-year MTA bus driver who's heading up the project, told the Daily News, "We believe NYC Transit workers are just as hot as FDNY firefighters - if not hotter."
You can decide for yourself: Photos of the men are posted on their Facebook page, Mentakingaction Ute, where the group is also asking for more calendar-ready guys (and women!) to apply for remaining spots.
We at Mentakingaction Ute all believe that transit workers take millions of people to their destinations safely, but, we look good doing it!!
The calendar will go on sale at a fundraiser on Saturday, September 17, in Brooklyn, with profits to go to the American Sickle Cell Anemia Association. Charity plus muscles? We can't say for certain, but this seems kind of a win-win. It's high time someone brought the sexy back to bus driving.
