Murdered Staten Island Woman's Parents Sue EMT Who Posted Death Pic
The parents of Carolyn Wimmer -- the Staten Island woman apparently murdered by a nut who thought she was spreading stories about him on MySpace -- are involved in an internet dispute of their own: they're bringing a lawsuit against the EMT who posted a picture Wimmer's corpse on his Facebook page. Mark Musarella, a retired detective and emergency medical technician at Richmond University Medical Center, is said to have snapped the pic himself while responding to the death scene; a friend ratted him out to his employers, who fired him. That isn't good enough for the Wimmers, who seek damages, but say it's about accountability, not the money. They're also suing their daughter's landlord for providing inadequate security.
