Mysterious 'One-Night Stand' Signs Linked to Real Man! We Talk to Him!
Last week, the Voice brought you news that a New York man, reportedly in search of a one-night stand, was posting these arrangement-seeking signs around the city.
We wanted to know whether his proposed dutch-dating/casual sex setup (meaning: "McDonald's, Wendy's, Popeyes, Subway," etc., for "females only") was real or a joke.
So we called the guy -- and he called us back!
How did that conversation go?

"Is this Victoria?" he asked.
"Yes," we said. "Is this John?"
"Yes," he said.
"You ever go out with a brown guy?" he asked. "How old are you? What age do you date to? I'm 42."
"Well," we started to explain. "I'm actually calling from the Village Voice, and I wanted to ask you about your signs."
After that brief exchange, here is what we can say we know. The phone number listed on the one-night stand signs does belongs to a real person, who also might be the guy behind the advertisements -- so it's not just a recording in the ether. No, this isn't much to go on, but it's still something.
We still don't know, however, whether the adverts are B.S. or whether -- if they are legit -- John has had a lot of success with the ladies.
If we get anymore details, we'll let you know...
