New Video of Menachem Stark's Suspected Kidnapper Hours Before Abduction
New surveillance camera footage has surfaced of a suspect wanted in connection with the kidnaping and murder of Menachem "Max" Stark, the polarizing Williamsburg property owner abducted on January 3.
The video was captured at 5 p.m. on January 3, approximately six and half hours before Stark was duct-taped and dragged into a 2007 Dodge Caravan waiting outside his office, and roughly 20 hours before his body was discovered in the smoldering dumpster of a Long Island gas station.
As the New York Post noted (in more colorful terms), Stark had a long list of enemies. The NYPD has narrowed it down to the man captured exiting the van and walking to the corner of Broadway and Rutledge Street in Williamsburg -- steps from South Side Associates' offices -- in this video.
The timing would suggest that the kidnapper laid in wait for hours before Stark emerged from his office.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
