Not Everyone Loves a Parade
Sunday's Hispanic Day Parade on Fifth Avenue enjoyed gorgeous weather and healthy attendance. The concurrent Muslim Day Parade on Madison had the weather but not the crowds -- though they did enjoy heavy coverage by right-wing bloggers who want you to know the attendees all wanted death for America and Obama for President.
Today is the Columbus Day Parade on Fifth between 44th and 79th Streets. The Grand Marshall is former Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice Chairman Admiral Edmund P. Giambastiani, and it will be led by "a troop of classic and contemporary Maserati sports and luxury cars." If you want to hear bitching about Columbus, we suggest One Mom, who explains that she "would put him in the same category as Sadam [sic] Hussein and Adolf Hitler."
