Nun Lies to Cover Up "Sex Romp" With Bodega Worker, Which Was Also a Lie
Oh dear. Sins come in many sizes. And sometimes they are so big they have trouble fitting into the confessional. For example, the case of the 26-year-old Brooklyn nun who 1. told the cops she'd been dragged by her habit for eight blocks, sexually assaulted by a thug, and left in a snowbank unconscious (sending police out to search for said false criminal) 2. recanted her story, which she'd made up to cover up a 3. confessed "consensual sex romp" with a bodega worker, then 4. confessed that that was actually a lie as well, and...oh dear.
Confused? So are we. Reports the Daily News:
A woman in religious garb who answered the door at the convent said the nun, identified as Mary Turcotte, suffered an "emotional break" and made everything up -- even her excuse.
"Nothing happened, none of it," said the woman, who declined to give her name.
"It was all proven to be false. It wasn't her fault. She is going to move out and we are going to get her some help."
Further complicating things, the convent is linked to a religious order founded by a defrocked Catholic priest who made himself Pope.
If there's anything we can trust in this world, it's that "Lying Nun" makes a great headline.
