NYPD Creeping Your House Parties on Facebook and Twitter
The NYPD is spending time on Facebook at work. But they aren't (we assume) commenting on friends' photos or posting statuses about the precinct -- events are more their thing. CBS New York reports that the department keeps tabs on Facebook and Twitter for information about parties that could turn violent, like the two in Brooklyn last weekend. According to CBS, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly "blamed the websites for allowing guest lists to grow, leading to unintended consequences." Meanwhile a teen was charged with murder in one of last week's shootings. [CBS]
