Pace Student Max Moreno Murdered; Police Release Surveillance Video of Suspects
Max Moreno, a 21-year-old Pace University student, was killed on September 29 with one gunshot to the head and found in his apartment at 2 Gold Street, in the Financial District, just after midnight. The incident took place after he sold marijuana to a couple, leading police to believe he may have been set up. Police have now released surveillance video of the two suspects, both Hispanic men in their 20s, wanted in connection with the crime.
Suspect 1 is 5'10" and 160-190 lbs, with a slim build and blotchy pigmentation on one side of his face. He was wearing a black Chicago White Sox baseball cap, a black shirt, and black jeans.
Suspect 2 is 5'9" and 170-180 lbs. He was wearing a black Chicago White Sox baseball cap, a white long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.
The suspects reportedly removed a locked box from Moreno's apartment after shooting him. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
