Police Seek Mugger Targeting Elderly Women in Coney Island

The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance locating a suspect, pictured, who's wanted in connection with six robberies in Brooklyn that have occurred since late July. In each case, the suspect approaches elderly women from behind, pushes them to the ground, and forcibly removes their property -- bags, necklaces, jewelry -- before fleeing the scene.

The victims, who are aged 70 to 84, have sustained minor injuries in each incident. The incidents have all taken place in the West 20s and 30s in Coney Island. The suspect is a black man in his 20s, described as approximately 5'9" to 6'0' tall and 140-165 lbs.
