Police Seek Suspect in Queens Homicide
On Saturday, October 23, at 9:55 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a gunpoint robbery at a deli at 220-23 Merrick Boulevard, Queens. They found Juan Torres, 54, of Autumn Avenue, Brooklyn, unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced DOA. Police have released a sketch of the suspect, described as a black man, 40-45 years old, 6'0" to 6'2" tall, and approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a black sweater at the time of the crime.
