Police Seek Suspect in Rape of Brooklyn Parks Worker
The NYPD is looking for a man who raped a Parks Department employee on Thursday, August 19, at 9 a.m. in Brooklyn. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was inside the park house at St. Andrews Playground on Atlantic and Kingston Avenues when she was assaulted by a man armed with a box cutter. The suspect, who fled, is described as a black male in his 20s-30s, approximately 5'8" and 200 lbs., wearing a red shirt with white markings, black shorts, and red and white sneakers. He was last seen fleeing on a small red mountain bike. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577 TIPS (8477). All calls are strictly confidential.
