Police Seek Suspects in Subway Slashing on #4 Train
Note to those seeking to conduct crimes on the subway: Making faces directly at the surveillance camera does not behoove you. In fact, around here, we call that kind of behavior conspicuous, and we advise against it. We also advise against slashing people on the subway.
The NYPD is looking for three suspects (seen hamming it up in the attached video) who slashed a 30-year-old man across the chest and arm with a razor, causing serious injury, on a Manhattan-bound #4 train at Utica Avenue & Eastern Parkway on Tuesday afternoon.
The suspects are described as in their late teens/early 20s. Suspect #1 is 6'0", wearing a black tee shirt and black and yellow shorts. Suspect 2 was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jean shorts, and a blue baseball cap. Suspect 3 -- the one with the razor -- had on a white T-shirt and red shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential.
