Police Seek Upper West Side Sexual Assault Suspect
The NYPD has released a sketch of a man wanted for two sexual assault/robberies on the Upper West Side. The first happened in May at about 1 a.m. in the vicinity of Manhattan Avenue and Columbus Avenue. The suspect approached the victim, a 30-year-old female, inside an elevator, groped her, stole her cell phone, and fled. The second incident occurred on September 26 in the same neighborhood, with the suspect doing the same thing to a 24-year-old female.
The suspect is described as a black male, 25-33 years old, 6'0"-6'3", and 205 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with dark jeans and white sneakers. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
