ProPublica: AIDS Group Suggests BC Pills to Prevent HIV
Watchdog ProPublica's suspicions were raised by an ad at the New York Times website for a California HIV/AIDS-related non-profit which none of its friends on that scene had ever heard of. They became more suspicious when they found that the group, Center for AIDS Prevention, posted a flyer saying "the best way to have safe sex is to use contraceptive pills or condoms while having sex," and that it shared an address with a company that used to sell an herbal drink under the claim that it would reduce HIV viral loads. They found some other interesting things, which you'll find in the article; while you're there you might want to read about the Iowa company that was paying mentally-disabled men 37 cents an hour to gut turkeys.
