What seemed like an almost endless fashion show season, beginning last February in Bryant Park, finally wrapped up earlier this month, when 30-odd up-and-coming downtown designers presented their fall '99 collections under the auspices of S.O.S. (South of Seventh) in and around the Puck Building. Though there was plenty of perky stuff on the runways, the eclectically garbed audience offered catwalk models a stiff dose of competition.
