Somebody Got Murdered: Homicide on Tiffany Street

DATE: JUNE 5, 2009, 12:17 p.m.
LOCATION: Tiffany Avenue and East 165th Street, The Bronx
Well, the city almost made it through the work week without a homicide. But on Friday just after lunchtime, police responding to a 911 call came upon a 17-year-old shot in the leg at Tiffany and East 165th streets in the Bronx. He was unconscious and unresponsive. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was declared dead at 1:18 p.m. Police are looking for two assailants, who fled the scene. The NYPD noted that the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The victim's identity was not released by the NYPD.
