Somebody Got Murdered: Infant Dies in Assault

Police have arrested 20-year-old Naisha Riley, of Radcliff Ave in the Bronx, in connection with the murder and assault of her infant son at 724 East 222nd St. Riley is accused of shaking and beating the child to death. Seven-month-old Cashmere Obama Randall was found unresponsive in the apartment at 222nd St. The boy was pronounced dead at Montefiore Medical Center. The 18-pound infant was born on election night. He suffered a brain hemorrhage, ABC News is reporting.
"Just sadness," the victim's aunt, Ciara Lawrence, told ABC News. "We're all pulling together. We'll make it work." Relatives of Riley blamed Riley's boyfriend for the killing, which took place at his apartment. They claimed she wasn't home when the incident took place. Naisha Riley has no history with the city's Administration for Children's Services, ABC said, quoting city officials.
