Somebody Got Murdered: Teen Shot and Killed in Brooklyn Public Housing Development

DATE: Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 at approximately 0434 hours
LOCATION: In front of 2189 Pitkin Avenue, Brooklyn.
The police say 18-year-old Taquan Crandall of Bridge Street in Brooklyn was shot and killed on Pitkin Avenue early Sunday. Crandell had been shot in the chest at the Fiorentino Houses, a public housing development. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was declared dead. Crandall, the New York Post says, had a prior arrest record.
