DATE: June 6, 2009, 8:10 p.m.
LOCATION: Vicinity of 9009 Avenue A, Brooklyn
A bystander who tried to intervene in a street fight was killed along with one of the antagonists Saturday outside 9009 Avenue A in Brooklyn. The other antagonist was also shot and critically wounded.
The tangled story according to police: Two guys are fighting. Dwayne Pascoe, 26, of Brooklyn, pulls a .38 caliber gun and points it at a 38-year-old Lennox Lewis, also of Brooklyn. A third man, age 50, intervenes. Lewis pulls his own gun, and fires, hitting Pascoe in the neck and chest, and the "good samaritan" in the chest. The good samaritan gets ahold of a gun and shoots Lewis in the head and shoulder. Pascoe and Lewis are dead at the scene. The good samaritan is taken to Brookdale where he is listed in critical condition.
