The Body of Sang Ho Kim, the Garden City Shooter, Has Been Found
SPolicing have been hunting for Sang Ho Kim, a suspect in an East Garden City office shooting that left one dead, since Wednesday. Today, it appears the manhunt has come to an end. At 9:30 a.m., a body believed to be Kim's washed up on the banks of the Hudson River in Rockland County.
Police have been searching from Kim since late Wednesday, when his abandoned Honda was found in Putnam County.The identity of the body has not yet been confirmed, according to the New York State Police.
The body had been in the water several days. While it has not been positively identified as the Kim's remains, the body does appear to belong to a middle-aged Asian male.
Last Wednesday morning, Kim, 63, opened fire in the offices of Savenergy, a light fixture import firm with space near the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City. Two people were wounded, one fatally.
This news comes one day after one victim, 25-year-old Queens resident Zacharia Yong Jae Shin, was laid to rest in Flushing. The other shooting victim, John Hyung Choi, remains in critical condition.
