Today in El Diario: Gang Gal Gets 5 Years
Puerto Rico's federal prosecutor is trying to get Leavy Nin Batista, ex-wife of a gang boss, a 5-year jail sentence for criminal dealings, the Spanish-language daily reports.
Nin Batista would also get a chance at parole, as part of a plea deal.
The district attorney's office ultimately agreed to a shortened sentence because Nin Batista, former flame of presumed gang leader Jose David Figueroa Agosto -- AKA Junior Capsula -- cooperated with authorities, according to El Diario.
