Twitter Leads Homeless Man to Daughter
We told you last week about Underheard in New York, the ad agency-backed goodwill project that put four homeless men on Twitter to "give a voice to the people who needed it most." This week, Daniel Morales (@putodanny, which we think is an epithet) decided he would use his account to find his estranged daughter, Sarah. It worked!
The Daily News reports:
"It makes me cry for real," he said yesterday afternoon. "It's like a part of me is missing. But I have a feeling I'm going to find her."
He was right. Hours later, his daughter called.
"She lives in Brooklyn!" Morales said. "We are going to get together tomorrow, but we don't know where yet. I didn't even recognize her voice, but it turns out she is so close. It's too much, too much."
