Update: Blakeman Not For World's Fair, Supports Clean Water
We previously reported that Bruce Blakeman, Republican candidate for Mayor of New York, favored a new World's Fair for the city. That was actually the prescription of his opponent for the GOP nomination, John Catsimatidis. We regret the error.
Blakeman speaks for himself at his campaign website, where he touts his "extensive experience in homeland security and law enforcement issues" and pledges to support "affordable housing," "healthcare for all New Yorkers," "our cultural institutions," "better parks and recreation, clean air and water," etc. He also has a commercial, which features the burning World Trade Towers and promises Blakeman will lead the city "from strength to strength."
