Update: L Train Service Is Back After Being Suspended for Smoke Condition
Earlier this morning, we started getting word that the L train had been suspended in both directions from Bedford to Eighth Avenue due to a smoke condition, possibly a track fire, at First Avenue. We spoke to an MTA rep who told us that the problem is ongoing, they don't know the cause, and they don't have an ETA on when it will be resolved. Mondays! The Fire Department is on the scene. If you're there, get in touch. In other news, who wants to scream about fare increases? Update per the Office of Emergency Management: The train is back, with residual delays. [JDoll]
