U.S. Open Seeks the Agile and Nimble-Handed
[Insert Federer ball joke here.] U.S. Open officials are looking to fill 80 ballperson positions. You should be 14 or over, and able to run, throw, and catch. Or, more specifically, per the U.S. Open website:
Are you... a talented athlete, with a great throwing arm, with pinpoint throwing accuracy, fast and agile on your feet, have quick catching and nimble hands and a thorough understanding of the game of tennis?
If interested and qualified, get yourself down to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing today. Registration lineup begins at 3 p.m. and the evaluation process starts at 4. They expect more than 400 people to try out. We'd go ourselves, but our hand-ball coordination has never been that great.
