Weapons Arsenal Discovered During Bronx Cocaine Bust
Yesterday, brothers Victor and Tonin Miri were arrested on gun and drug possession charges following an investigation by the NYPD's Manhattan gang unit. New York City Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan and New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly have announced that 12 firearms, including 5 assault weapons, were seized during a court-authorized search of Victor Miri's apartment (a/k/a, the "cocaine distribution center") in the Bainbridge section of the Bronx.
Along with the weapons, officers found "magazines and ammunition for the guns, night vision goggles, binoculars, a bullet proof vest, and M-80 explosives with fuses and detonator caps," as well as small quantities of cocaine and marijuana, scales and a money counter, a cocaine grinder, a vacuum seal presser, baggies, and other drug-related paraphernalia.
The photos are pretty crazy.
The brothers have been arraigned, with Victor Miri's bail set at $200,000 and Tonin Miri's at $10,000 bond or $5,000 cash.
