Range rovers from the four corners of Manhattan converged at Hudson Street's Cowgirl Hall of Fame on a recent Saturday night to kick up their boot-heels, swing their pardners, and otherwise celebrate the restaurant's annual Cowgirl Prom. No doubt many of the revelers didn't have half so swell a time at their own long-distant high school dances: adult life in New York is a fractured fairy tale of resurrected adolescent possibility.
