Yankees, Mets Tax-Free Bonds Approved
Remember those generously-termed bonds the city wanted to give our beloved Mets and Yankees for their stadium boondoggles, about which comptroller William Thompson and some others have been complaining? Neil deMause informs us they have been approved by the Industrial Development Agency board. On the Yankees' largesse, Queens beep Helen Marshall abstained and Thompson voted no, but all 15 board members said yes to the Mets. Well, at least you know about it, so we guess it's transparent.
