Your Sexy Spy Roundup, From B to P
We already know that Mother Russia's sexiest spy, Anna Chapman, is, well ... sexy. And sometimes topless. But there have been plenty of other good-looking spies in fiction and movies throughout history. And we're feeling patriotic on this day after the Fourth of July, so ... how 'bout a roundup?
Mata Hari (real name: Margaretha Geertruida "Grietje" Zelle MacLeodl) was a mysterious Dutch exotic dancer/high-class prostitute-turned-spy during World War I. What she actually did that was espionage-y is kind of unclear (first, she was a German spy, then a French spy? I think?), but the point is that she was quite the seductress. Until she was shot by a French firing squad.
The wildly successful (and wildly awesome!) Josephine Baker was not just a banana-skirt-wearing entertainer but also a spy for the French Resistance during World War II. She crossed borders on her European tour with top-secret info written in invisible ink on her sheet music!

Oh, come on. She was totally ... sexy. But the point is she worked for the OSS (what the CIA used to be called) during World War II and she made this awesome shark-repellent for underwater mines. And then brought us Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
I'm gonna get flak for this, but dude was kinda hot back in his snitching days! Even though he ruined a bunch of people's careers.
Belle ("Cleopatra of the Secession") was just a "genteel Southern belle," but also a Confederate spy during the Civil War. She passed on information to Stonewall Jackson and defended her family against invading Union soldiers. Scarlett O'Hara-esque!
"Shall we shag now, or shall we shag later?" Uh, now?
