  • David Hyde Pierce

    Emmy and Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce made his professional and Broadway debut in 1982 as the waiter in Christopher Durang's Beyond Therapy. He went on to create roles in the Off-Broadway productions of Mark O'Donnell's That's It, Folks!, Richard Greenberg's The Author's Voice and The Maderati, Harry Kondoleon's Zero Positive, and Jules Feiffer's Elliot Loves. In 2005, he originated the role of Sir Robin in the Broadway production of Monty Python's Spamalot, which earned him a nomination for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical. In 2007, he won the Tony Award and earned another Drama Desk Award nomination for his role as Lieutenant Frank Cioffi in the musical comedy Curtains. Most recently, he appeared in the acclaimed London and Broadway productions of David Hirson's La Bete. His film credits include Little Man Tate, Sleepless in Seattle, Nixon, A Bug's Life, and the Sundance Film Festival Selection The Perfect Host, which will be released by Magnolia Pictures in 2011. to The Perfect Host, which will be available On Demand on May 27 in advance of a July 1 limited theatrical release. His television credits include a long and happy stint on Frasier, for which he earned four Emmy Awards and the American Comedy, Television Critics, Viewers for Quality Television, and Screen Actors Guild awards.

  • S. Epatha Merkerson

    An Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, and NAACP Award winner, S. Epatha Merkerson has won critical acclaim for her brilliant work in theater, film, and television. Merkerson recently completed production on Lionsgate/34th Street Films' comedy We the Peeples, starring opposite Craig Robinson, Kerry Washington, David Alan Grier, and Diahann Carroll. 2010 saw the series finale of the venerable NBC hit series Law and Order. In her 16 years on the show, Merkerson earned nine SAG Award nominations as a member of the ensemble cast, won a 2011 NAACP Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress, and individually received NAACP Image Awards in 2006 and 2010, as well as nominations each year in between for her portrayal of Lieutenant Anita Van Buren. On stage, Merkerson was last seen on Broadway in Come Back, Little Sheba directed by Michael Pressman, for which she received a Tony nomination, a Drama League nomination, and an Outer Critics Circle nomination for her portrayal of Lola Delaney. On stage, she has performed both on and off Broadway in productions including F**king A (Lucille Lortel nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress) and The Piano Lesson (Tony, Drama Desk, and Helen Hayes nominations for Best Actress). She won Obie Awards for her performances in both I'm Not Stupid and Birdie Blue.
