Although he entered Nashville writing songs for country music pros like Travis Tritt and Billy Currington, few outside the city recognized the name Luke Bryan until 2007’s I’ll Stay Me, a solid debut anchored by the joyful lead single “All My Friends Say” and its nostalgic follow-up “We Rode in Trucks.” His latest and best, Tailgates & Tanlines, released in 2011, is still putting songs into radio rotation: The most recent, “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye,” finds this baseball-cap-wearing pretty boy asking his pretty girl for one more night together.
