Carrie Rodriguez is a local Austin transplant who has plenty of friends in high places: Lyle Lovett invited her to play one of her earliest live gigs; Bill Frisell appeared on her 2006 solo debut, Seven Angels on a Bicycle; and her last year’s She Ain’t Me featured songwriting collaborations with Gary Louris of the Jayhawks and ex-Semisonic dude Dan Wilson.
