Win a Pair of Tickets to See Beans at National Sawdust on 3/31!

Three Albums. One Novel. One Night.

New York alt-rapper Beans, a born in ’71 visionary who came of age side-by-side with hip-hop, has performed on stages with accomplished members of all genres: Radiohead, Missy Elliott, Prefuse 73, Public Enemy, The Rapture, and more. A founder of the NYC underground rap group Antipop Consortium, Beans is a pioneer and one of the absolute masters of stream-of-consciousness lyrics, and proudly embraces his minimalist style. Mock-blaming Trump's rise to power on his recording hiatus, Beans is trying to correct the damage by releasing three albums plus his own novel at one intense show at Williamsburg’s National Sawdust. The world has changed since 2013. Beans, like all of us, has seen it firsthand, and has something to say about it. Come listen at National Sawdust—if you have any love for hip-hop, this record drop from Beans is can’t miss.

The albums include Love Me Tonight, a heavily collaborative album that features Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino, Laurel Halo, Pete Swanson, Tobacco, Ben Chisholm (of Chelsea Wolfe’s band), and H.Prizm of Beans’ former group, Antipop Consortium; Wolves of the World, produced exclusively by Canadian producer Tobaggon; and HAAST, credited to Cleveland producers Ay-Fast, Chris Auerbach-Brown, and noise artist David Russell Stempowski. The book, titled Die Tonight, is “weird fiction about a teenager that gets possessed by a vinyl record, goes on a killing spree, and finds himself.”

Each album is limited to 500 vinyl copies, and people who pre-order the three-album bundle will get the book for free. More info here.
