Broad General Director Plácido Domingo takes LA Opera into movie theatres throughout the United States for the first time, as Landmark Theatres hosts screenings of The Plácido Domingo 40th Anniversary Gala Concert in 22 theatres throughout the country.

Recorded before a live audience on April 18, 2008, the concert celebrates the fortieth anniversary of Mr. Domingo’s first professional appearance in Los Angeles and features arias and duets sung by Mr. Domingo and the internationally acclaimed soprano Patricia Racette.

The concert is led by LA Opera Music Director James Conlon, conducting the LA Opera Orchestra, and will be screened at 2:00pm on Mother's Day, May 11, 2008
at the Sunshine Cinema in New York.
