A Bit More About the Di Fara Price Hike
The Post has an article questioning the price hike at Di Fara: earlier this month, the famed Brooklyn pizzeria announced it would charge $5 for a plain slice. The cost for a Di Fara slice (previously $4) is reportedly the highest in the city; it's rare to find a slice selling for more than $2.75, and even rarer to find people willing to pay more for their daily fix. But as the article points out, the increase -- which owner Dom DeMarco attributes to a spike in the cost of ingredients -- is unlikely to put off the Di Fara faithful, who travel far and wide to make the journey to their Midwood mecca.
