All This Week: Fork in the Road Cinco de Mayo Coverage
An Aztec deity visits the Cinco de Mayo festivities in East Harlem on Sunday. (Click on picture to enlarge.)
This week, Fork in the Road will be running extra stories in honor of Cinco de Mayo ("5th of May"), a principally Mexican-American holiday celebrating the immigrant group's Mexican heritage. It commemorates a Mexican army's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla (1862).
Yesterday, we ran a photo essay on East Harlem's Cinco de Mayo street fair.
