America's Test Kitchen, Now for Nintendo
America's Test Kitchen will soon be available in Nintendo form. While it won't, sadly, feature Christopher Kimball attempting to rescue Princess Toadstool, it will have a compendium of 300 recipes from Kimball and his compatriots at Test Kitchen HQ. It's structured as a game designed to get multiple people (i.e. family members) involved, and its software, per the marketing copy, "offers up age-appropriate kitchen tasks, so settings can be adjusted to indicate whether younger helpers are old enough to handle knives or adjust stovetop controls." The promotional video makes it seem less like a game than a talking cookbook, and the anachronistic accordion music accompanying it reassuringly evinces its folksy, kitchen nerd roots.
